RCVH provides for a full range of services for dogs, cats, small mammals, and even backyard chickens! Please Contact Us if you

Thanks to state of the art diagnostic equipment such as digital X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory, RCVH can provide you and your pet with same day results when they are in need.
River City Veterinary Hospital can perform numerous surgeries that your pets may need. In addition to enhancing the recovery from a routine spay, or neuter, our surgical laser allows Dr. Anthony O'Sullivan to perform some of his favorite, more intricate, procedures including correction of stenotic nares and elongated soft palates.
With the help of a high speed dental procedure unit and advanced training, Dr. Heather O'Sullivan can pursue her passion of improving your pet's dental health faster, and often with less pain, than more traditional dental equipment allows.
RCVH takes a personalized approach to preventative care. We prefer to assess each pet's individual risk before recommending a custom tailored vaccination schedule. For example, many of our vaccines are recommended only every 3 years as opposed to the more traditional view of annual vaccinations.
Senior Health Care
At River City Veterinary Hospital we recognize that senior pets may have special needs. We strive to offer all encompassing treatment options, including diet and supplement recommendations as well as arranging acupuncture, laser, and chiropractic care.
This non-traditional therapy enhances our medical treatment of many conditions but especially any painful condition. Dr. Lee Ann Jones is our on-staff certified veterinary acupuncture expert, but we also work closely with Dr. Courtney Belden of Central Virginia Veterinary & Acupuncture to provide laser therapy either in our hospital or in your home. This helps us to provide a well rounded treatment plan for your pets' medical needs.
