Dr. Kris Raum - Veterinarian

Dr. Kris was raised in Virginia and attended James Madison University.

She later moved to the Pacific Northwest and completed an additional degree in biology from Portland State University. After working in various roles, including laboratory assistant and field biology researcher, she earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Oregon State University. She spent years practicing clinical medicine in Oregon and Washington before returning to her home state of Virginia. She is excited to have joined the team at River City Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Kris spends her non-working hours with her family, including two lovable and very stubborn dogs. She enjoys all things outdoors, minus the mosquitos!
